MOMFERENCE Mission

Momference provides a welcoming, inclusive opportunity for women in all stages of motherhood and life to meet, share, learn and grow. Momference celebrates, empowers, and educates women who are moms in all aspects of their lives.

What is MOMFERENCE

Momference is an organization dedicated to supporting and encouraging women who are moms in their efforts to build strong families while simultaneously renewing their own sense of self and well-being.

Momference is the first ever global expert resource created especially for busy Moms - and it’s convenient! Through our online events, educational podcasts and interactive blog, Momference puts you in “virtual meeting rooms” with thousands of like-minded women from all over the country… all without the hassles of travel or getting a babysitter!

Momference brings experts from across America and from around the globe directly to you, to discuss challenges and offer practical strategies that will empower you to achieve your potential in the many facets of life as both a mom and a woman!

Momference is committed to helping mothers and families in need. As a benefit of Momference, we donate a portion of net registration proceeds to charities and non-profit organizations aimed at bettering the lives of women.

Momference is dedicated to a common bond—that regardless of the many superficial differences in our lives, family structure, careers and dreams, we are united by the heart-felt desire to be the best that we can be in every aspect of our lives for the good of ourselves and our loved ones.

Momference provides insightful guidance for moms in all areas of their lives, taking a holistic, 360 degree approach addressing issues important to moms, including:

bullet Relationships with their spouses, parents, and children,
bullet Home based businesses and professional track careers,
bullet Responsible self care and health management,
bullet Topics such as special needs children, divorce, and child safety.

Frequently Asked Questions

Momference events have a somewhat different format than a typical conference, designed for ease of use by its busy participants. Below are some FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS that should make your experience a piece of cake (yummy chocolate cake actually).

If you have any questions not answered here or just need our help, please don’t hesitate to contact us at info@momference.com

Where are Momference events held?

Momference events are designed for ease of use by our thousands of participants, and are held using telephone conference lines and online webinars, so you can participate from the location that is most convenient for YOU just by making a simple phone call or going online.

Prior to each session, all participants will receive by email the phone number to call, the special passcode and the website link that allows them to enter each session, just like you would make a normal phone call or visit a website. (Depending on the long distance calling plan on the phone you call from, toll charges may apply, just like any long-distance phone call you make.)

By conducting our events in this format, it means that you can participate from anywhere in the world – including the comfort of your home, your office, while in the car (please use a hands-free headset - we don’t want any accidents), etc. No need to get a babysitter, put on makeup, take time off of work, or disrupt any of your carefully balanced plans and schedules at all!

How long do Momference events last?

Most events will range from a few hours to 1 day long. However, certain event times may vary.
For example, our 2008 Momference for Divorced Women has sessions on both a Wednesday evening and the following Saturday morning, to ensure that all of the single or divorced women can attend at least part of the event live. Of course, everyone who registers gets the recording of entire event so even if you have to miss some of it live, you can still listen to all of the sessions at anytime at your convenience.

See our Event Calendar for more information on upcoming events, including dates and times.

What if I can’t make one of the sessions I really wanted to hear?

All of our events are recorded as downloadable MP3 files and are made available to all registrants of that event. CD recordings of events are also available for sale in the Momference Shops. CDs will be mailed within a few weeks after the end of the event, enabling you to listen to the valuable information shared with you at anyplace and anytime.

How can I ask the Experts a question?

There are a number of ways you can interact with the wonderful Momference Experts – before events, during events and after events.

Because of the volume of participants on the calls, it is not feasible to have everyone on at once with an open microphone during the presentations. Momference makes it easy with two ways to interact with the expert on a call.

What Moms Said about the 2007 Momference Event...

“<Momference> was great! Cant wait till the next one!”

“I’m a mom and Entrepreneur, and was curious to see if any of the speakers and topics would be of interest to me. When I printed the workshop schedule, I ended up highlighting 35 workshops I really wanted to attend, and others that I’d be interested in listening to if I only had more time. The MP3’s will come in handy!”

“The Momference was a great idea. It was very informative and covered a lot of interesting topics... I loved the Powerpoint presentations that follow along online. Very good tactic for visual learners. Also, the ability to ask questions online was awesome as well! GREAT IDEA MOMFERENCE CREW!!!!”

“I’m a busy mom and business owner, so the …downloads of all workshops and other perks makes this a no-brainer. This will allow me to attend the conference on my time table both during the momference week and beyond. (It’s) is a great value for a one day event, let alone a whole week of workshops!”

“Thank you for putting on a week of online workshops to support Working Moms everywhere. You made it easy and affordable for us to participate, and we have no excuse not to attend! I’m really looking forward to it!“

“This is a wonderful idea!!!! Outstanding way to link moms everywhere. This is probably the only way most moms like myself have of attending something like this! 2 thumbs way up to the organizers of this event!

“I love the idea of actually taking some time for me. I have 5 kids, and 1 more on the way. Finding time for me seems impossible at times. I am looking forward to being able to learn some valuable information from this! Thanks for the opportunity.”

“What an innovative idea for moms...attend a conference even in our PJ's”

“This was a great experience. I loved it!”

"Just wanted to add a 4 star stamp of approval to the Momference…so awesome”

About Us

Our mission at Jaffe Life Design is to serve as a Human WakeUp Call™ for others, alerting them to the potential their lives possess. That means empowering others directly or indirectly to make conscious choices that enable them to break free of their complacency, limiting beliefs and inactivity so they can overcome their challenges and live the life they’ve designed, on their terms!

For mothers, talk of empowerment and overcoming complacency might seem like radio messages from outerspace. The demands and responsibilities of your roles make self-care, relationships and careers all the more challenging. To insure that moms experience the empowering lives they truly deserve, we brought a team of dedicated people together to launch the Momference.

Dawn Burke is the founder and president of Dawn of Designs—a creative design studio that delivers integrated graphic design, marketing and advertising solutions. Dawn’s dedication to her two young children was the motivation behind her decision to establish her own company. When her daughter was born 10 years ago, she exited the corporate arena and continued her passion for graphic design in her home-based studio. Dawn has more than 20 years of experience managing award-winning programs for a wide range of businesses from Fortune 500 companies to startups. Her career has encompassed package design, marketing materials, corporate branding, and high stakes advertising. You will find her designs when you shop at the supermarket, when you order coffee, and even when you sweeten it. Staying in a luxury hotel or playing in a casino may bring you into contact with her creations. And if you’ve ever contemplated losing a few pounds, chances are some of her work has caught your eye. Even as a busy mom and successful designer, Dawn still found time to create a second company—custom-designed invitations featuring her exclusive illustrations. In fact, her children again inspired her to launch this new venture and offer a highly unique product you won’t find in stores.
